Babydoll’s owner-proprietor and resident performer Tracey Whitney’s 'The Art of Jazz’ band features pianist Sid Fendley, Jack Hanan on bass, guitarist Dan Dowling, and Wayne ("Chuckles") Johnson on drums, performing her own brand of classic jazz and sophisticated soul.
Paul Gonzales began his career in 1984 as Jazz Trumpet Soloist with the Army Band of New England. After returning to Albuquerque, he started his group “Tetragon”, was adjunct trumpet professor at Northern New Mexico College, and hosted the Monday Jazz Show at KUNM for 13 years. Paul has played with George Cables, Louis Hayes, and Tadataka Unno. He has also performed with the Buddy Rich Alumni Band led by Bobby Shew, the Cab Calloway Orchestra, and appears on Ottmar Liebert's platinum selling-album “Little Wing”. Paul currently works with the Doug Lawrence Quintet, Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra, Calle 66, Entourage Jazz, and Hillary Smith’s High City Horns.
Performances will be at 6:30 and 8:20 pm. We hope to see you where the music is the thing.
