Let the countdown begin, Jazz-Fam! We are two weeks away and we couldn't be more excited!

Here is a sneak peek at some of the unique Jazz culture at Babydoll's House: This beautiful image will greet you when you enter Babydoll's House of Jazz & Blues. It is a 54 x 35 canvas of E. Simms Campbell's Iconic "A Night-Club Map of Harlem". Artist E. Campbell (1906-1971) has been described as "one of the first commercially successful African-American cartoonists". Campbell was born in St. Louis to a family of educators, he trained at the Chicago Art Institute, working in St. Louis before moving to New York where he launched his career. Campbell was also the first African-American with a nationally-syndicated comic strip, Cuties, and he did advertising illustrations for national brands such as Barbasol and Bisquick. His long-term gig was with Esquire, which he joined in its founding in 1933 and where he remained as art editor for 25 years.

We hope you enjoy this piece of visual art as the music transports you at Babydoll's House of Jazz & Blues. Check out our Facebook page to stay in the loop! www.facebook.com/share/1KPyLq8wde/?mibextid=wwXIfr
